Join us for readings by James Bartleman, Lauren B. Davis and Dany Laferrière, followed by a book signing.

The author of the prize-winning memoir Out of Muskoka, James Bartleman presents As Long as the River Flows, a devastating and inspiring story of one First Nation woman who gives up her daughter to try and find her son while also coming to terms with her past.

Lauren B. Davis presents Our Daily Bread, which explores the consequences of group attachment – the “us” versus “them” mentality that arises when a collective identity is stronger than that of the individual self.

Translated from the French by David Homel, Dany Laferrière’s prize winning novel The Return is about a young man who flees Haiti for Montreal only to return to his home country 33 years later after his father’s death.
