Lauren B. Davis (Canada) is the author of the bestselling and critically acclaimed novel The Stubborn Season, as well as a collection of short stories, Rat Medicine and Other Unlikely Curatives. Her novel Radiant City was nominated for the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize. Born in Montreal, Davis lived in France for 10 years. She now lives in Princeton, New Jersey. Davis presents Our Daily Bread, which explores the consequences of group attachment – the “us” versus “them” mentality that arises when a collective identity is stronger than that of the individual self.
