Join us for an evening with House of Anansi authors Peter Behrens, Lynn Coady, Patrick deWitt and Stephen Kelman, followed by a book signing. This event is presented in partnership with Authors at Harbourfront Centre, Bryan Prince Bookseller, House of Anansi Press and IFOA Ontario.
Peter Behrens’ new novel, The O’Briens, follows the family from The Law of Dreams two generations later and spans the construction of the Canadian railroad as well as both world wars.
Lynn Coady’s new novel, The Antagonist, follows a man who, formerly cast as an enforcer and goon by all who knew him, discovers that a once trusted friend has published a novel mirroring his life almost 20 years later.
Longlisted for the Man Booker Prize, Patrick deWitt presents The Sisters Brothers, a violent, lustful odyssey through the underworld of the 1850s frontier capturing the humour, melancholy and grit of the Old West and two brothers bound by blood, violence and love.
Stephen Kelman presents his debut novel Pigeon English, a spellbinding portrayal of a Ghanaian boy in London balancing on the edge of manhood and of the forces around him that try to shape the way he lives.
